Your creator brief is your playbook

Every confirmed affiliate receives a Creator Brief with campaign-specific instructions: what to create, when to post, whether approval is required, and how to submit. Each activation is different, so always follow your brief first.

This page is your shared resource library. Use it alongside your brief to grab approved assets, hashtags, messaging, and compliance guidelines that apply to everyone on this campaign.

What this campaign is about

This is what we stand for and what we're putting into the world. Let it inform your content. Don't repeat it, feel it.

Our Message
A gateway has opened, and The Hollow has awakened. This Halloween, don't just walk through the haunt. Step into the story, take your Mission Map, and vanquish the evil inside.

The vibe

Eerie, electric, and playful, never gory. The Hollow Awakens is fog, glowing illuminated creatures, jump scares that end in laughter, and a quest you complete together. It's witches, ghosts, monsters, and zombies done the Imaginarium way: immersive, story-driven, and built for real reactions. Capture the moment you get your Mission Map, the zone you almost didn't survive, the tokens and candy you earned, the glow-in-the-dark art you made.

It's spooky enough for teens and thrill-seekers, welcoming enough for families. The target demo is 8+, and some attractions may be too intense for young children. Real screams, real laughs, real night out. If it looks like a horror movie, it's wrong. If it looks like the best Halloween night of the year, it's right.

You're the creative. We're giving you the message and the mood. How you bring it to life is up to you.

The story

Know what you're talking about so your content sounds informed, not scripted.

Imaginarium presents: The Hollow Awakens

The Hollow Awakens is Imaginarium's first-ever Halloween-themed production, an immersive indoor/outdoor experience covering nearly 100,000 square feet at Lakewood Center. A gateway has opened, awakening the monsters, spirits, and ancient forces within. Guests receive a Mission Map, journey through ten haunted zones, and complete tasks to vanquish the evil in each, earning candy and tokens along the way. Add water lanterns, a glow-in-the-dark DIY art room, mirror rooms, dozens of photo ops, circus clowns, jump scare performers, and an inflatable obstacle course.

Behind it is the International Culture Exchange Group (ICEG), the team that brought the first-ever Chinese Lantern Festival to the US in 2011 and has since produced over 40 critically acclaimed, family-oriented events nationwide, with a 15-year legacy of creative design. Your content should speak to families, friend groups, couples, and thrill-seekers (target demo 8+) looking for a Halloween experience they can't find anywhere else.

Do's & don'ts

Follow these rules on every piece of content. Non-compliance may result in content removal or program termination.

⚠️

Your content may be amplified

Content you create as part of this campaign may be boosted, repurposed, or used in paid media by the brand or our team. That means your content must be 100% clear of any third-party trademarks, copyrighted material, or intellectual property you don't have rights to.

This includes logos, brand names, signage, music, sound effects, artwork, TV screens, product packaging, and any other visible or audible content owned by someone else. The event is at Lakewood Center, so be especially careful to keep mall retailer storefronts and signage out of frame. If it's not from the approved assets on this page or something you personally created, don't include it.

Why this matters: Paid media with third-party IP can result in ad rejection, legal action, and campaign removal. Keep your content clean so we can amplify it.

One more thing: If your content is selected for boosting, your brief may ask you to authorize it through your platform's partnership tools (like TikTok's Spark Ads code or Meta's partnership toggle). It takes about a minute and your brief will walk you through it.

✓ Do
  • Share your genuine experience and real reactions from your visit
  • Show the immersive story: Mission Map, zone tasks, tokens, trick-or-treating
  • Include required hashtags and FTC disclosure
  • Tag the official social accounts
  • Keep content family-friendly and brand-safe (the target demo is 8+)
  • Mention that some attractions may be too intense for young children when relevant
  • Get accurate event details (dates, hours, prices) from this page
  • Use your natural voice. Don't sound scripted
  • Film clear of mall storefronts, third-party logos, and signage
✗ Don't
  • Position the event as extreme horror, gory, or adults-only
  • Make unapproved claims or guarantees
  • Mention competing haunted attractions or theme parks by name
  • Spoil the central storyline or reveal every zone. Keep the mystery
  • Use any music, sounds, or audio you don't have rights to, including trending sounds
  • Show third-party logos, trademarks, or retailer signage in your content
  • Alter logos, key art, or official assets
  • Post content that is off-brand or not brand-safe
  • Use AI-generated faces or deepfake-style content
  • Include artwork, TV/movie clips, or any copyrighted material owned by others

FTC & disclosure requirements

Federal law requires clear disclosure on all sponsored content. These rules are non-negotiable, and they protect you as much as us.

The Basics: Know These Cold
Free stuff counts as pay

Free tickets, gifted items, meals, and affiliate commissions all count as a "material connection." If you received anything of value, you must disclose.

Placement matters

Disclosure goes in the first two lines of your caption, before the "more" cutoff. Not at the end. Not buried in hashtags. In video, say it out loud early on.

The stakes are real

FTC penalties can exceed $50,000 per violation, and both the creator and the brand can be held liable. One skipped disclosure puts everyone at risk.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the event, program, and content requirements.

Do I need to disclose that my post is sponsored?
Yes, always. FTC guidelines require clear and conspicuous disclosure on all paid posts. Include #ad in your caption (not in comments, not buried in hashtags). See the Compliance section above for platform-specific requirements.
Can I put the message in my own words?
Yes, that's the point. Share your genuine experience in your own voice. Just stay aligned with Our Message and never make claims that aren't approved, and keep the tone spooky-fun, not extreme horror.
Is the event kid-friendly? What should I tell my audience?
The Hollow Awakens is designed for ages 8+ and still welcomes families, friends, and couples, but some attractions may be too intense for young children. Say exactly that. Don't oversell the scares or undersell them; set honest expectations.
Can I use official music or audio in my content?
Only audio explicitly approved by the campaign team is cleared for use. Do not use copyrighted music, even trending sounds, unless explicitly approved. Ambient sound recorded during your visit is fine.
What if my followers ask about dates, hours, or ticket prices?
Check the Event Details card in the Background section. It has the confirmed dates, hours, prices, and the free parking detail. For anything beyond that, reach out to the contact below and we'll get you the answer to relay.
Can I repurpose my content across multiple platforms?
Yes, in most cases. Just make sure each version meets that platform's specific disclosure and format requirements. Check the FTC section above and your Creator Brief for details.
